Introducing Clide — Mission Control for AI Terminal Sessions

If you’re a senior engineer running Claude Code, GitHub Copilot CLI, or similar tools across multiple repositories, you’ve felt the pain: ten or more terminal tabs, each running a different AI agent, all demanding attention at unpredictable intervals. Windows Terminal can open tabs. It cannot tell you which agent is waiting for input, which one just errored out, or which session has been idle for thirty minutes.

Clide (CLI + AI + IDE) is a standalone Electron desktop app designed from the ground up for this exact workflow. The interface is organized into three zones — Fleet, Viewport, and Intel — giving you a command bridge layout where every active session is visible at a glance. The Fleet panel shows live health indicators for each agent session: active, idle, blocked, or done. No more cycling through twenty tabs to find the one that’s stuck.

Two features set Clide apart from any terminal emulator. Concierge monitors your terminal output for common patterns — prompts waiting for input, error messages, process completions — and can either notify you or auto-respond based on configurable personas. Steward goes further: it orchestrates multi-step AI workflows with safety guardrails, automatically sending prompts and monitoring for completion across iterations. Together, they turn Clide from a terminal manager into an AI agent orchestration platform.

Every session includes a built-in scratchpad (Monaco Editor) for notes alongside the terminal, session tagging with NATO alphabet naming, collection-based batch spawning for quick project setup, and sidecar process management for companion tasks. The entire interface is keyboard-first with a command palette (Ctrl+Shift+P), and every action is discoverable through it. Clide is free to use and built for Windows. Download it at sg57.dev/clide.
